Roland R. Griffiths was a pioneering researcher who helped re-legitimize psychedelic science in the 21st century. At Johns Hopkins University, he led the first modern, double-blind studies demonstrating that psilocybin can occasion profound, meaningful, and often mystical experiences in healthy volunteers.
